Paver Sealing and Restoration
Paving restoration and sealing is a multi-step process designed to clean, repair, and protect exterior surfaces. Often, the process involves removing the old sealant, deep cleaning (removing oil and rust), re-sanding the joints, and applying a new, breathable sealant (ranging from matte to high gloss) to prevent staining, UV damage, and weed growth.
Softwash is more than clean. It keeps your home and business healthy.
PAVER SEALCOATING PROCESS
STEP 1: CLEAN PAVERS
We begin by using a hot water pressure washer to safely remove dirt and grime from your pavers and joints. The high heat effectively eliminates stubborn debris while neutralizing all organic growth. Most paver patios use polymeric sand between the joints. This type of sand softens above 180°F, and our hot water system can exceed that temperature, allowing for a safer and more effective removal of compacted joint sand.
STEP 2: FILL JOINTS
After our thorough cleaning, we fill all paver joints with polymeric sand. Once watered in, this sand hardens to prevent future shifting of the pavers, greatly reduces the likelihood of weed growth, and provides a clean, finished look.
STEP 3: APPLY SEALANT
Next, we apply an eco-friendly sealant to your pavers. This protective barrier helps guard against stains, fading, and other weather-related damage.
STEP 4: FINAL CHECK
After the sealant is applied, we inspect every area to ensure all surfaces look as they should. Our technicians won't leave until the results meet our 5-star standard. Our goal isn't just to meet your expectations — it's to exceed them.
