SANITIZING IN THE COVID-19 ERA

coronavirus-covid19-cdc.png

It isn't just dirt, grime and exterior mildew anymore; now more than ever Sanitizing / Disinfecting is more important to your high traffic areas than simply cosmetically clean. Proper sanitizing of high traffic surfaces is key to helping to flatten the curve of community spread.

In light of COVID-19 and all of the local (along the Lee and Collier counties) changes and closures including Naples County Schools, Restaurants, and Office Buildings, Softwash Ecoservice would like to help our community by offering deeply discounted exterior cleaning and sanitizing of high traffic areas and surfaces. To include: school, public and church playgrounds, metal public/private hand railings, Shopping carts, building key pads, door handles, exterior doors/handles of buildings, outdoor seating areas and any other areas with continued potential risks.

Our special professional grade cleaning mixture to include: Water, Detergents & Sodium Hypochlorite (Bleach Disinfectant Cleaner) that is used in normal operations to remove mold, mildew and bacteria build-up is also recommended (https://www.epa.gov/pesticide-registration/list-n-disinfectants-use-against-sars-cov-2)  and effective at combating viruses (SARS-CoV-2, the novel coronavirus that causes the disease COVID-19) including those transmitted to hard surfaces where human touches and contact are involved. Our sanitizing chemicals will not harm your surfaces, only the germs.

During these unprecedented times we hope we can all work together to keep our communities healthy and strong, if you have any additional questions or concerns please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your individual exterior sanitizing needs.

HOW LONG CAN THE CORONAVIRUS THAT CAUSES COVID-19 SURVIVE ON SURFACES?

A recent study found that the COVID-19 coronavirus can survive up to four hours on copper, up to 24 hours on cardboard, and up to two to three days on plastic and stainless steel. The researchers also found that this virus can hang out as droplets in the air for up to three hours before they fall. But most often they will fall more quickly.

There's a lot we still don't know, such as how different conditions, such as exposure to sunlight, heat, or cold, can affect these survival times.

As we learn more, continue to follow the CDC's recommendations for cleaning frequently touched surfaces and objects every day. These include counters, tabletops, doorknobs, bathroom fixtures, toilets, phones, keyboards, tablets, and bedside tables.

If surfaces are dirty, first clean them using a detergent and water, then disinfect them. A list of products suitable for use against COVID-19 is available here. This list has been pre-approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for use during the COVID-19 outbreak.

THE BEST WAY TO COMBAT THIS PANDEMIC IS TO STAY PROPERLY INFORMED
